The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cornwall, 2007

In May 2007 I took a holiday in Cornwall specifically to see the Lost Gardens of Heligan. It’s probably the most impressive and most breathtaking garden I have ever visited. It does, however, bring home the truth in the saying “It’s a small world”: in one picture you will see that part o f the bird watching area at Heligan is dedicated to the memory of a benefactor from ...... Sheffield! You go all the way to Cornwall and the first thing you see is something that takes you straight back home!

If you have the opportunity to visit you certainly should; if you are hoping to see the whole garden, allow at least 3 days there.
